It’s been a long time, and some were starting to think it would never happen, but I am reminded of a short conversation in the film The Blues Brothers:

Jake : We’re putting the band back together.
Mr. Fabulous : Forget it. No way.
Elwood : We’re on a mission from God.

Yes, The Vicar and Friends are getting back together and there will be another gig in the autumn.
Save the Date – Friday 15th September 2023.

There will be music from other local musicians, too: Wareside’s own Jake Saunders and Bob Kerr (with Neil Jinkerson) will be doing a set each. Closing the night will be the usual high-quality rock and roll you’ve come to expect from the Vicar and his Friends – Mario Abrami (guitar), Paul (drums) and David (keyboards) Goodman and Terry Gerrish (bass), with guest vocals from Symone Venables.

Doors and licensed bar will open at 7pm. Music will start at 7:30pm. Tickets and more information is on the band’s website – vicargig.org.uk
